Welcome to the Bowers' Corner & Table Shuffleboard Association website's April 22, 2005 SHUFFLEBOARD NEWS FLASH!  Many updates have been made to the upcoming events calendar (including a number of flyers)

The Bowers' Corner & TSA websites have received many new updates, such as those listed below in this news flash which includes some of the most most recent website additions:

TABLE SHUFFLEBOARD ASSOCIATION (TSA) HALL OF FAME NEWS

There are three TSA Hall of Fame induction ceremonies scheduled, thusfar, for 2005: being Larry Creakbaum & Jim Long of Indiana (to be held during American Legion's May 6-8 tournament in Bourbon, Indiana; and Doug Buhl of Oregon (to be held during the annual Winston Labor Tournament being held Sept. 1-5 at Willee's Cafe/99 Tavern in Winston, Oregon).  These two tournaments are listed on the Bowers' Corner & TSA websites calendar of "Upcoming Events" (excerpt in below below if you wish to click on the link to the flyers for these two tournaments below - To view the complete 2005 Calendar of  the latest "2005 Upcoming Events & Winner Results" click here )

1)  Sheryl Cockerill, TSA HOF sponsor/petitioner,  requests that you send her any photos, quotes, testimonials, stories for inclusion in Larry Creakbaum and/or Jim Longs induction booklet quickly, as the tournament is around the corner and must allow time to get them typeset and printed by the end of April.  Larry Creakbaum (also one of the original TSA Directors) and Jim Long are long time players and supports of the game and most deserving for this jointly conducted TSA HOF Induction.  Contact or send Sheryl your induction booklet at:  sherylngregg@aol.com 

Don Valk, TSA President, will be conducting the ceremony.  Anyone who wishes to give public testimonials during the ceremony, please contact:  Don Valk at shewprints1078@aol.com or call him 512-288-9555 and/or coordinate your request for testimonial inclusion during the ceremony to Sheryl Cockerill at sherylngregg@aol.com  Don Valk & Sheryl Cockerill are working jointly on the induction ceremony plans and Sheryl is working with the TSA Secretary (Lynda French) on the induction booklet which must go to the printer no later than the last week of this month (April), so that Don Valk can bring the booklets with him to the tournament.

2) Steve Fisher & Darrol Nelson (via email received from Danny Holland & Trish Florence), request that you send your quotes, stories, photos, etc. at your earliest convenience for inclusion in Doug Buhl's TSA HOF induction booklet and to pleast forward this request for information notice to all who you think would like to contribute to Doug Buhl's history and induction booklet.  Doug has been playing 40 years and deserves the best!
