12^th Annual Holiday Tournament – St. Louis, Missouri

December 9-10, 2005 (St. Louis, MO):  The 12th Annual Holiday tournament was recently held in St. Louis, Missouri at Ulena's Sports Bar on Dec. 9 - 10, 2005.  There was a large turn out of much of the local talent in our Shuffleboard Community.   “Kudos” are extended to Pat Marshall for organizing and running yet another successful tournament. Thanks also to Jerry Romay, Frank Edelen, and Moi for their assistance.

Friday night (and into Saturday) we held a single's event with the largest number of teams we've ever hosted for this type of event. Taking fourth place was John Boyer. Third place went to Mike Simpson and Second place went to Larry Romay. Single's champion was awarded to Jim Dunn.

Saturday was the (late starting) Bring Partner event which also also had a large turnout. Taking third place was the tough shooting team of John Boyer and Chris Tinker. Taking second place honors was the dynamic duo of Jim Dunn and Mike Simpson. The brothers Romay, Larry and Jerry, were this year’s champions. 

Congratulations to you all and thanks to all those who participated, making this one of the finest tournaments we've ever held. Also thanks to Julie Simpher for her help with the raffle and Norma Young for her help with the food and to Doug Schmaltz for the photos.
