OVERVIEW:  (February 10-11, 2006) Warsaw Eagles #1339, Warsaw, Indiana

Results of Friday 02/10/06 Draw were:

Brian Collins & Pam Dowell - First Place
Terry Dowell & Ann Harrell - Second Place

Results of Saturday, 02/11/06 Mixed Doubles follow...

We had a fine turn out on Saturday with 17 teams playing.  Mary Brown brought heart cupcakes, Sheryl Cockerill brought white chocolates and Terry and I fed the juke box all day until karaoke started @ 9:00.  The Ohio girls (Bev Sidle, Mindy Sidle & Barb Short) started the singing and other club patrons joined in later.  One couple, Jim Hartung & Missy Rupe were unable to play in the tournament because of a prior engagement, but came back later to sing & join in on the fun.

Unfortunately two couples who always make this tournament were unable to attend because of family deaths.  Deb & Bobby Voorhis lost his mother on Thursday and Jodi & Scott Berneth (OH) lost his Dad the very next day.  We missed both couples and send them and their families our heartfelt sympathy.

The winners, who were consistently sharp and never lost a game, were First Place: Jody Berry and Gary Anglin.
Second Place: Pam and Terry Dowell.  Terry played exceptionally well even though he had rotator cuff surgery the week before and could only use one arm.
Third Place:  Sheryl Cockerill and Jim Long knocked out some powerful teams and garnered third place.
And Fourth Place in the money, also playing very well were Kristie Redman and Mike.

The next Warsaw Eagles tournament will be on April Fool's Day.  Really (not fooling)!
